We operate our core weather ingest and web hosting in Dorset. Our approach is to make data delivery purposeful, explain our dependencies and make claims that can be supported.

Separate data products
Small current-weather products are separate from larger historical series, so every refresh does not need the entire archive.
Shared processing
The app and websites consume published products from the same observation-processing platform.
Environmental claims need evidence.
We do not currently publish a measured carbon footprint, renewable-electricity percentage or carbon-neutral certification for DLW. Local hosting alone does not establish a lower environmental impact.
Our next step is to document electricity use, hosting energy sources and equipment life cycles before making quantified environmental claims.
